We all know who is going to win the AL ROY...so who do you think will win the NL ROY?

Here are the stats for all of the rookie hitters and pitchers. Just click on NL to get the candidates.
It looks like Billy Hamilton is the frontrunner, with 51 stolen bases. No one else is doing very well in the NL.

I think Billy Hamilton has the best shot right now but I really dont want him to win. When was the last time a ROY did anything to live up to the hype in their sophomore season? It's like a curse.

Well...Dustin Pedroia was the was the 2007 AL ROY and followed that up as the 2008 MVP. Add in a few WS championships, AS game selections, and Golden Gloves and you have a pretty good example of a player who survived the curse pretty well.
But thats just one out of the how many ROY's in both AL & NL that havent survived the curse?

It's interesting that when fellow speedster Vince Coleman won ROY in 1985, he had the exact same .267 batting average as Hamilton, but he also had an incredible 110 stolen bases compared to the 60-65 that Hamilton should finish with.Plus, IF he wins Hamilton would probably not suffer that much of a downturn because so much of his offensive game is based on speed.
He hasn't hit very well (.267) and has still had a pretty good Season for that reason...

I agree, I remember the 2007 NL class with Tulo, Pence, and Braun. That was an impressive NL Rookie class.DeGrom or Hamilton.
What a lousy class this is. I love how Baez is trying to match Olt's .139 BA
