for the 4 people who make the Final 4 Ebay gift cards and the winner gets the boxes. To be determined by me and could be any sport and any year. But not anything older then say 2008. So if your in the final 4 you will get a Ebay gift card, and if you win the whole thing you will get 2 boxes as well as your final 4 prize.
This is a free pool and anyone can join the first 64 to post in this thread is in. The buy in team does not count in this only the official
64 teams when the tournament starts after the buy-in game.
I did this last year but unfortunately the data was lost on my computer and I missed placed the jump-drive that was the back-up, too.
But not this year I will have many back-ups in place to make this work this year, I promise
Ok here are the rules on the draw of teams :
This will be a (Blind) Random Draw with your name and the teams.
I will take the list of user names and the teams and randomize each list separate and then put them together just as they end up
top to bottom.
Then I will post the list together stating user name and team they have.
Now Rules of how it works.
This is a point spread based pool and they will be posted by me before the start of every day in the tournament.
I will use my local papers list of odds posted for those games for the give day. I know these can change daily but I will only post them once they are posted in my paper (Ie Thursday, Friday games can be posted in the same paper on Thursday So I will use that.
And Saturday and Sunday's can be posted on Saturday so I'll use them....and so on.
In order to advance to the next round your team has to beat the points they are giving up. So if Duke is favorite over who ever they play by say 8.5 Duke must win with a score 9 or more for you to win and move on...... or 6 they need 7 or more and so on.
Even if you have Duke and Duke wins they need to be OVER the points in order for you to keep Duke and move on. The favorite must BEAT the points in order for you to keep the winner and move on.
If your team you have DOES NOT BEAT the points spread BUT DOES WIN (Example Duke needed 8.5 but only won by 8 then the person who had the other team then gets your team and moves on even though your team won, they did not cover the points.
So in a sense if your the favorite you have 2 ways to lose also...... the underdog beats you out-right or you don't cover. But only one way to truly win and move on with that team IS WINNING BY BEAT THE POINTS YOUR FAVORITE BY.
IF THE SPREAD IS 9 AND YOUR TEAMS WINS BY 9 IT IS A PUSH BUT YOU STILL LOSE YOU MUST BEAT (go over) THE SPREAD IN ORDER TO WIN.
So if your the underdog in every game you will have 2 ways to advance on.
1. If your underdog team wins out-right you advance of course.
2. If the favorite wins but does not cover you then get the favorite from that round and you move on to fight another day.
SO YES IN THIS POOL THE TEAM YOU START WITH CAN AND WILL NOT BE THE SAME ONE YOU MAY END WITH.
Hope everyone understands the rules of how this will be done. It is a blast to do because after day one you can be the one and done, or you can be the one to survive with the help of the other guys team.
