7 years, 150 million! Which is better than the Nats 8 year 160 million.

Supposedly the final four teams in the running: O's, Nats, Angels, and Red Sox.

It's hard to contain my excitement thinking about landing him but in reality I know he'll probably head off to Boston :?

There was absolutely nothing wrong with Albert Belle's signing. He had a freak injury. Did you see the numbers he put up his 1st season in Baltimore?

So when are you guys trading Hanley and Maybin? ;)

Just make us an offer for a middle relief pitcher and I am sure they are both yours. :|

Congratulations, you just picked up Hanley and Cameron. You can have Uggla for the baseballs.

I agree. They can offer him just as much money as anyone else and he'd get to play for a winner, which is something the Nats and Orioles can't offer. He's still on the east coast so he isn't too far from home like he'd be with the Angels.

21.42 million a year.. before taxes. so lets just have some fun with this, shall we?

So lets say He has a 14-15 hr day.. that is $1,428.00 a hour
And lets we break it down further $23.80 a second..
and then further.. He takes a dump a day.. 5 mins? 10 mins? $238.00 to take a dump..
That is nuts!!!!

Remember when Kirby signed for $3 million in 1990(?) and that was going to "kill the sport"

how times change!

Hey Dave, No one asked you!!

;)

im just bitter that we can't get him :| . im a big fan of tex

i guess i can't say 100% that he's going to the red sox although all signs really do point for him to sign with them. however, with boras as his agent, and if the nationals are really crazy enough to say, throw out a 200+ million offer to tex, would he go arod route? i sincerely hope he learned from arod's texas debacle....

but in the end, i believe red sox will do whatever to land this guy.

Don't see how unless Burnett turned them down.

that is crazy.....im thinking they are doing this to just drive up tex's price for the red sox because 160 for cc and another 160-180+ for tex? that is nuts....
