OT: Christmas Spending Budget

With Christmas right around the corner, I was curious what kind of budget you guys have when it comes to Christmas. If you have kids, how much do you usually spend on the Kids and then on your Spouse?

As far as my wife and I, with funds low this year, we are planning on only giving each other 1 gift a piece and spending the rest on our 2 little girls.

Just curious.

$250 or less. I know, seems cheap to most but things are going crazy here.

I selected what my wife and I will be spending on each other and our son.

This is our 3rd Christmas asa couple (2nd as a married couple) and our son's first, so we are going a little more crazy then we have before.

Luckily I got my bonus from the Army, so we won't really be hurting.

This year, we had a few things that came to fruition and there were several things that have come up....

So, my wife already has her Christmas laptop and I've already got my new computer (6 GBs RAM, 24" widescreen monitor, 1 TB hard drive).

The boys are getting a few things they've wanted for awhile, but the majority of our money went to computers and the boys are getting our old computers.

only buying one thing for my wife this year...unfortunately she wants a pair of ugs and they are in the 225-275 range . My little guy has his first christmas and we decided just to buy him one thing this christmas as really he has no idea right now. Next year though will be a disaster. Definitely this christmas is going to be much tighter then last year with the way the economy is going.

When I have a spouse and kids (and a job), I will be spending 1500+ on them. Christmas is a great time of year.

Ill buy my mom,dad,grandmother,brother something but it wont cost more then 150.00(total) as I dont have that much money.

This will be the first time my wife and I will be off for the holiday together. Usually one of us works either Christmas Eve or Christmas.

The budget is small this year. People in the family have asked what I want and I have said that I want nothing. Put it toward stuff for the boys.

My fiance and I decided to put the money we would spend for each other on Christmas to help pay for our wedding rings. So, I'm technically not spending any money on her for Christmas.
