I picked Porcello. Kid is going to be a CY contender and we all know good pitching > good hitting.

It was between Wieters, Porcello, and Heyward. I went with Wieters because I think he will turn the O's around and make them a contender.

I still don't get why people are in love with Porcello but I'm not much of a prospector or Baseball guru. I think immediate will be Wieters/Arencibia. Snider too if he can cut down on the K's. Most of you will have graduated high school before Heyward makes it up.

Where to start with Porcello. He's got a plus plus fastball that will only get better as he gets older(thats a scary thought), with a plus changeup, and 2 other potential plus pitches in the works (slider and curve). He's got plus command, and a great build (6,5 195lbs) to go along with perfect mechanics. Add all of this to the fact that he isn't 20 years old yet, and you have a hell of a pitching prospect on your hands. Some scouts thought and still think that Porcello was the best pitching prospect in the 2007 draft (and thats saying something when David Price got selected as the #1 pick).

that is what I heard too, scouts said he had the best arm/stuff in the draft. Just he wanted to much $$$ so some teams passed.

Tigers forked up the cash and might have found a future Ace to back Verlander.

Who is the guy I am thinking of? his agent, the one who got Arod all the cash too?
