Feel free to discuss, assuming all at full health.

I would tkae John Smoltz over any of the player you listed. He is without a doubt the best big game pitcher of our era.

Tim Lincecum.

Everyone on that poll has either never pitched in a must-win game, or has struggled in them - except for Johan. But all things being equal, give me Lincecum (I chose Johan from the actual choices)

Hands down, Roy Halladay...A CG win is always nice so that the bullpen doesn't blow it.

I'm pretty sure Beckett is the gold standard for playoff performances right now, so he needs to be added!

sorry guys if I edit, then the votes are erased.

Yeah beckett is awesome in the playoffs! but stinking jays need to give doc a shot!

he is amazing, he is hugely under-valued because he is a jay and gets no love (really) because he plays in Canada.

I mean if he was in Boston/NY, there is no chance beckett is thought of before him. I agree pitching in the playoffs is a whole other animal, but DOC just has the make-up to succeed under pressure situations.

Beckett or Lincecum.

As far as the "no chance that Beckett is though of before him" consider Beckett's postseason success. Yeah Halladay could be great too in the postseason, but Beckett has already been in the toughest situations in the World Series and dominated. To say that Halladay if he was there would be "thought of first" is a stretch at best.

I agree also I think lol :D but yeah Beckett has been great in the postseason.

but I mean to as a pitcher in general, I believe people put halladay over beckett. that is also what I mean because he is in Toronto, he is really an after-thought to most.

He is simply amazing, and if he was in a bigger market..... he would be alot more highly thought of.

But yeah in the postseason, since DOC has not ever been there (what a shame) beckett has been there, beckett has dominated there, beckett is the man in the post-season right now.
