I was wondering how long it would take for someone to do this. You have 20 days to fill it in.

I wanted to make sure on this, but say that he now guesses the same as someone below him whom has the same answer but they post it first? Will he win since his spot is first, although he didn't put in the guess first, or how will this be determined/monitored?

Yes, that is correct. He can edit his guess all he wants until 1/1/09. The people below him can do likewise to make sure their guesses are different than his. First person to get it precisely right will win.

The exact deadline will be when the ball drops in NYC.
