So I went to the "local" card shop (45 miles away) yesterday and was really desperate to bust open some older wax. I happened to see this and the owner was willing to go as low as $20. So I said what the heck and bought it. Anyways, there are 6-7 possible inserts possible with the one insert per pack gig. For most of these, I'm not going to list each player I pulled, just how many of each insert I got: All-Rookie Team (3), All-Star Team (13), Hitting Machines (8), Phillies Finest (4), Strikeout King (6). Pretty much any of these can be found for under a buck at COMC or Sportlots.
The exception of course is the jumbo pack exclusive all-etched foil On-Base Leader insert which blows the others away from both a visual and value perspective. I happened to pull two of them: Ken Griffey Jr. and Mark Grace. To see what these beauties look like, click the link here... http://www.comc.com/Cards,so,vList,i100,=1994+ultra+on+base+leader
Pros: Nice photography and I like the gold design of the base set. Plus the On-Base Leader cards of course.
Cons: Cards stuck together a bit and the base set was rather dull as there are no subsets except a few checklists and a 125th anniversary card.
Overall: If you can find a box for $20 or less, it would be a nice trip down memory lane. Just don't expect anything to have any value except for possibly one or two cards.
