I'm going to attribute it to the massive size of checklists for DK back then, and the inability to confirm every single item on said checklists by the time the OPG info was created.

Anyways - I've sent Brian the new OPG request to get the item added

Pic below of the run where the card "should" have appeared - just looks skipped. Either they couldn't confirm he signed, or DLP left it off the checklists they sent and the baseball OPG guys just couldnt confirm all 10,000+ checklist items in time and look for missing ones

@Leffer see if you can also locate the regular color version of that Platinum Grey FB 1/1 sig
Most of the other players have a regular base colorized and a Sepia 1/1 ( except 160 Campy & 171 Maris)
I cant get the color added unless I can prove it exists
OPG should get updated on that Sepia in the next few days

@jeffv96masters I looked through all of my pics. I have almost all of the Combos (Sigs + relics) but this is the ONLY one I saw with just a sig (AND... I don't have a pic of the Combo for that framed platinum grey which is why I thought it MIGHT be an error). Good stuff though...20 years later some hobby forensics!

I hope everyone's summer is going well and everyone is staying as cool as possible. I have another Rickey mystery to solve.

2004 Leaf Certified Materials Fabric of the Game #189. His Athletics versions of the cards, and there are several variations. The one of particular interest is the "Base" version - a semi-squarish cut of a dark green jersey. I have one, and know it is serial numbered to 100 just like all checklists say. I have pictures of other cards and all show it as serial numbered out of 100.

HOWEVER...(dunh dunh dunh duuunnnnnnnnhhhhhh)... in my pile of pictures I came across one of these with the front that looks like the "Base" card. BUT on the back it is serial numbered to 10 (TEN) not 100. See below. Any ideas? Strange for a misprint or error to be the 5th serial numbered card. And it isn't homemade (someone would have had to delete a zero!). Does anyone happen to know if there was a promo or giveaway where 10 of these were specially made for an event? Any other knowledge on this?




And before you suggest it might be Prime... it isn't. The Prime variation of #FG-189 is a 1-of-1 and is a yellow square:

I'd be interested in them taking the object out of the holder to get a better look at the area I have underlined
in Red. There are "Presidential" items Bill and Ann created to reward Presidents level buyers and VIP visitors = but my brains sorta hung on what could be "embossed" stamping . The current holder is all marked up and obscuring possible embossing or markings, so have them take it out and use a camera for front and two side views looking from the left and the right

Special mail day today! Finally finished off the (3) various 2013 Leaf Team of Dreams Rickey cards! I got the base card at the actual charity event at the Field of Dreams with my son, the /25 auto was a surprise gift from another Rickey collector when he visited the “Man-cave of Steal” back in Fall of ‘22 and the cornstalk relic /25 arrived today from eBay! This event and the memories it holds for me, my family and friends is priceless!
