WBAL in Baltimore is reporting that Brooks passed away today. One of the best third basemen ever, a great ambassador for baseball and a willing signer TTM. He will be missed greatly.

Never saw him play but still one of my favorite O's. I don't keep many autos, but he is one of them...

Saw it on facebook. Seemed like a great guy. I remember getting his "Third Base is My Home" book when I was a kid, at least I think that was the title. I think I may still have it, but have not seen it for years. I have an incoming BR card that I happened to win a week or so ago...it'll be in the new addition thread when it arrives.
