Crazy game with a big shot by Pierce to put it into OT.

Rondo's line:

18 points, 20 assists, 17 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block, and 4 TO

damn

I'm sure some sports research site will tell us when the last time a player had 17 or more in 3 stats was. I would not be surprised if this was the first time.

I think they were talking about Jason Kidd going 15 in each twice and he was the only one before Rondo. Not sure if Kidd ever reached 17 in each though.

On 7-20 FG. He missed a bunch of easy shots

Over all though a very good game and nice win for the Celtics

 "very good game"

It was one for the ages. I think the Celtics are okay with his 35% FG with that game. With a PG, it's not all about how many points you score or how successful you are doing it.

You ask, and you shall receive:

Magic in 89 was the only player with 17+ in the three main categories. Here is the short list of 15+ for rebounds, assists and points:

In a single game, from 1946-47 to 2011-12, in the regular season, requiring Points >= 15 and Assists >= 15 and Total Rebounds >= 15, sorted by descending Points.

watching the game I was shocked at home many easy baskets he missed. The 35% FG when you put up 20 shots can not be ignored.

His behind the back pass to Ray Allen was amazing, as was his assits and rebound totals.

Only the second best game of the night

57 pts, 6 reb, 7 ast by Deron Williams s bit better. He was also 21-21 at the FT line
