I came across a card that had sold on eBay and contacted the seller of that card. He informed me of the purchaser and gave me his eBay id. I contacted the buyer (Rob Adams) via eBay to inquire about the card. The card in question is the 2011 Topps 60 Jumbo Relic of David Wright #1 6 /20. Rob is allegedly a big David Wright collector. He informed me that he would be willing to work out a trade for the card, but only for something else of Wright. I then found this Wright card on eBay . . . .
and asked if he would be interested in it for a possible trade. He said yes, so I purchased the card via ebay. I paid $250 for the Wright. We then worked out a deal that I would receive the 2011 Topps 60 David Wright Jumbo #1 6 /20 and $50 pp and he would receive the 2012 Wright All start patch auto #1 /6. He paid $200 for the Topps 60 Jumbo, so this was a very fair deal for us both. He demanded that I ship first because he had allegedly been scammed in the past, which was one of his many lies.
Our deal was that he would pay the $50 pp and I would ship first. He paid and I shipped the next day. He received his card 2 days later. He even has the audacity to post a picture of the card I sent him, and then tell me that he traded it already and cant return it to me. He then provides me with tracking with the package that he sent out. I received his package only to open it and find that he chose to scam me and send me 2 cards that he feels are equal in value, and that I should be happy with these cards instead of the card that we agreed upon and that I inquired about from the get go. I have every email and every back and forth message that we have had and they do not make him look too bright.
Traders beware of Rob Adams of Virginia. His eBay name is reaper-creeper. He also has a facebook page that he claims is or trading, buying and selling. It can be found here. https://www.facebook.com/5cards
