Shaq collectors or auto collectors, need your advice

Check out this Shaq auto:

My question is whether this price is way too much. The base auto from that set is $40 for Shaq's and the rainbow version #'d 19 for all the players in the checklist is 2x that value putting Shaq's at $80. Since this is the only auto of his w/a Star for the "S" does it make it more valuable? What would be a good offer for the card?

If it is the ONLY one of the 19 that has the star instead of the s, I'd say the star does make it more valuable. I guess it be around $100, but then again the auto could make it a 1/1...

Sorry, my wording was a little off. I've seen two of these w/a Star and it seems like maybe all 19 were signed this way, but I'm not sure. If all 19 of them were signed that way what would you think about the price. Like I said I know of at least two of them like this so it's not the only one.

If that's the case, then I'd still say it's worth a little more. You could pretty much make a case for it being worth more or why it shouldn't be worth more. I don't know...

I would offer him 65 and go from there. I would not offer more than 90 for it though as you can get an on card auto of shaq for less than that. Good luck!!
