Apparently the Rangers are looking at him, but, a move to texas would hurt sheets IMO, since he would probably be used as their ace, and lets face it, when sheets is placed in that role, he has a proven track record of injuring himself.

If I were sheets, I would consider going to NY and being used as the #3 or 4 and being able to pitch better without being worried about carrying the team.

If he does go to NY, he could easily be a 17 game winner in their current rotation, and cut down his IP

...and apparently they are also interested in the Big Unit as well.

I read that too, I hope Texas signs him, just to give the rotation a push, I think with (and only if healthy) Millwood, Padilla, Sheets, not bad 3 starters and Matt Harrison showed last year he could be a good 4th guy and maybe someday a 3, it is a risk with Sheets but hey WE NEED PITCHING...

Texas - where pitchers go to die

That is such a hitters park that i don't think he'll end up choosing to go there...Money talks though, you never know

Or where they seem to spend time on the DL. Don't worry sheets will be on the DL most of the season,
so the Rangers will see some of their young guys get some playing time.

Oh My GOD! Ok.....c'mon....calm down.

I truly think Sheets gets a bad rap. He was the all-star starter last season, and pitched close to 200 innings....

Sheets pitched more innings last year than:

Edinson Volquez
Brett Myers
Greg Maddux
Carlos Zambrano
Aaron Harang
Barry Zito
Jake Peavy
Dice-K

He obviously has the stuff to be an elite starter. So you tell me why he shouldn't go to Texas and try to stay healthy.
