Went 'home' to eastern PA this past weekend and went to the local mall show.

Picked up some nice stuff, although 2 of the better cards are not scanned since I got rid of them. I will start with them:
08/09 ITG UM Stamkos auto /10
08/09 ITG UM Tavares/Ovechkin dual auto 1/1

Now for some pickups:

I know this isnt hockey, but $10 for a 'very limited' autograph, I couldn't pass it up.

Also, saw Eric Meloche at the mall (former Wilkes Barre Penguin and son of Penguins goalie coach Gilles Meloche). Not sure why he was in the area, but just said hi to him.

Anywho, more non hockey related stuff.....Alice in Chains was playing across the street at the arena and on Saturday they were at the music store by the mall.

You had to buy the CD for $10 to get a wristband.

I saw people coming out with the LP signed so I bought that too....I didnt notice the dinged corner when I bought it, but oh well.
The band was very cool!!!

Great pick ups! Love the AIC auto's on the LP, they have some nice autos.

A little story - about 15 years ago my wife and a few friends of ours went down to Seattle (about 2 hours from Vancouver) for a few nights. One night we went to a bar/club called The Rock Candy to hang out and watch some live music. The third band that came out was called Mad Season. I knew nothing about them before they came out but quickly realized that Layne Staley (The late lead singer of AIC) was singing, the guitarist was Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), I didn't recognize the drummer but my friend said it was the guy from the Screaming Trees and the bassist was from Sound Garden. It was incredibly cool. Layne's voice was amazing, it was just very cool to be their and witness the greatness of Layne Staley. It was the first time they had performed their music live, they later released a CD.

Again congrats on the pick ups.

very nice pickups Troy. I bet the Tavares/Ovechkin 1/1 was sweet.

I actually went to middle school with Eric Meloche from 6th to 8th grades. he left to go to high school and focus on his hockey career in Canada. I actually have a very small Meloche collection. it looks like he didn't play in the German Elite League this season. I wonder if he retired?

the AIC autographs are pretty cool as well.

Thanks for the replies!!

Dave, that is cool about Meloche.

About Cantrell, if you look at the CD, he signed JC versus his full name on the LP.
