Got this from another forum. Knew a lot of it but some surprised me. Thought I would share...
-Igor Vovchanchyn was almost in UFC 11.
-Randy Couture was officially in Brazil Vale Tudo Open 1997 which had Kevin Randleman on the opposite bracket. Dan Henderson was in the MW tourney. However, Randy got a call from UFC that a spot opened up at the last minute and Randy entered UFC 13. Randy and Dan's teammate Tom Erikson filled in and won the tourney by brutal KO over Randleman. Couture went onto face Randleman at UFC 28. (Source - Dan Henderson on Poker tonight!)
-Speaking of Couture, the original main event to Ultimate Brazil was Bas Rutten vs. Randy Couture, however the fight was cancelled. At Pride 6, Bas announced he would face Couture at UFC and then went onto challenge Rickson Gracie.
-Takada vs. Ken Shamrock was the original main event to Ultimate Japan.
-Tommy Hearns and Marvin Hagler are connected to UFC 1. How? Art Jimmerson wanted to pull out of UFC because he wanted to fight tommy hearns. Hagler was asked to be a color commentator, but declined...
-The first rematch in Pride from UFC was Frye vs. Coleman. The first rematch in UFC from Pride was Liddell vs. Rampage.
-ADCC, Nathan Marquardt faced Dean Lister. They rematched in MMA (UFC Fight Night 8). Dennis Hallman faced Frank Trigg in MMA (twice) and rematched him in ADCC. Dean Lister vs. Ricardo Arona was the original super fight at 2005 ADCC. The grappling match never happened, but they fought MMA at Pride GP 2005 opening round.
-Koji Kitao, Dan Severn, and Ken Shamrock all have participated in UFC, Pride and WWE Wrestlemania.

-When K-1 was interested in signing Mike Tyson to fight Bob Sapp, they did sign Mike Tyson's alleged half brother, Cliff Couser to fight a kickboxing match. He lost at K-1 Beast 2004.
-Oleg Taktarov and Don Frye were originally suppose to fight at YAMMA. The fight never happened. Ironically, Frye and Oleg were both in Michael Mann's film, Miami Vice.
-Oleg was in movies, Total Force, Air Force One and Absolute Force. He also played parts in 44 Minutes and 15 Minutes.

-UFC 118 will feature Randy Couture vs. James Toney in the co-main event. The last UFC to feature Randy as NOT the main event was UFC 54, five years ago...
-Paul Varelans was the first American to defeat a BJJ Black Belt in MMA. It was Joe Moreira at UFC 8. First BJJ Black Belt to get finished was Bietti at UFC 9 when Frye TKO'ed him.
-Mark Schultz and Rulon Gardner are both high level wrestlers that are 1-0 in MMA. Schultz did compete in Inoki's Jungle Fight in a fight that was a work.
-The original tournament for Randy's first vancant belt was the winner of Rizzo/Coleman to face the winner of Bas/TK. Rizzo and Bas trained together, so they refused to fight at UFC 20. The winner of Randleman/Mo was declared the number one contender against Bas at UFC 20, which we all know was Randleman.
-Coleman has lost to Rizzo, Pete Williams Maurice Smith, and Cro Cop. Randleman avenged all of these four losses. However after Coleman lost to Fedor, Randleman also lost to Fedor. Pele Landi-Jons has lost to Lee Murray, Thales Leites, Carlos Newton and Travis Lutter. Pele's former training partner was Anderson Silva who defeated all four of these opponents.

At UFC 36, Matt Hughes fought Shooto’s former MW (167 lb) Champ, Sakurai, because the current Champ had trouble getting a visa. The Champ was Anderson Silva.
At PRIDE 22, during the stare down, Rampage gave Igor Vovchanchyn a note that from “his mother” that said “Please don’t hurt my son”.
At PRIDE Final Conflict 2004, Big Nog was stuck in traffic, so ‘lil Nog did his walk in for the opening ceremony.
At PRIDE Critical Countdown Absolute, during the stare down when the ref finished the rules, Josh Barnett said to Mark Hunt “and no flying ass drops”.
Rickson Gracie does have an official loss. At the 1993 US Sambo Championships he lost to Ron Tripp via uchi-mata in 45 seconds. Rickson claims he was misinformed of the rules.
Andrei Arlvosky was originally supposed to face Randy Couture at UFC 43.
After pulling out with Injury, Randy made his fateful decision to drop to 205 and face Chuck Liddell.
Matt Serra was supposed to make his debut in Pride vs. Johil D'Oliver but the fight was scrapped after Johil accidentally walked into the fireworks during the Pride opening ceremony and was burned.
Pedro has the distinction of having defeated the Most UFC champions without being champion himself. He defeated Coleman,Barnett,Severn,Shamrock (If you count Superfight Champion from UFC 6),Rodriguez,Arkloski.
Ken Shamrock was originally supposed to fight Igor Vovchanchyn at Pride 13. Shamrock injured himself and Tre Telligmen stepped in and scored one of the most shocking upsets of all time (I still rank it high to this day).
A proposed mega-fight of Royce Gracie vs Mark Kerr was supposed to happen at Pride 3 but Royce injured his back.
Every lightweight title fight before Penn/Stevenson had ended by decision.
Before Silva/Sonnen, the only title fight that had ended in the fifth round was Couture/Rodriguez and Diego/Penn.

Tank Abbott FOUGHT for the UFC Heavyweight title. He lost to Maurice Smith. He was entering the bout after coming off two losses.

Tank has had 24 fights. If you don't take into account the length of time per round, none went past the first.
