Did anyone else see this one above $1325 for the 30 minutes before it closed? Looks like it sold for $685? What gives?

I thought you weren't allowed to cancel a bid if it ended within a few hours?

I'm guessing it was the bidder that canceled. It was only 4 minutes after the bid was placed.

Retraction was made shortly after the bid was placed; this is allowed.

This could be a good scam....

You and a bundy want a $1,000 card that's up to like $600.....You bid $1,400 with an hour left and your buddy bids $1,395 to get it up to $1,400....all snipers lose interest b/c its way above market value...Then at the last second, your buddy retracts his bid...and you win it for $602.50..........Maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about, but that's what I was thinking at first glance...

Was still curious...was what I'm saying possible or not? Seeing that he retracted with 5 seconds left and I think even if snipes were still set, they usually go off 6 seconds before the auction ends, is this a possible way to block last minute bids and/or snipes?

Seeing the seller relisted, he might have seen this...Any buyer would buy this card at that price

And seller still is at 100 % feedback, so maybe ebay suspended the seller and/or the bid retractor as they knew what was going on..
