He would have been 90 years old today!!! RIP Teddy Ballgame.........

I have talked about it for a year or so, but today I will be retrieving my vintage Williams collection from my parents house (where the cards have been locked up for 20+ years). It is quite the coincidence to me that today would be his birthday. My plan is over the next week or so to "show off" a couple of great vintage Williams cards every day. Stay tuned, but here are a couple that I have had accesible from my complete 58 set........

Thanks- I've got my boyhood collection in hand and will be showing some very rare and old Teds. One of the few biggies I do not have is the Wilson Franks card that was packaged with hot dogs. It runs a pretty penny nowadays.....

Stay tuned.......

Great vintage Williams stuff. Someday I hope to have a nice vintage Ted Williams card. At least I have the one in my signature.

Such a great shot of Ted on the Wilson card. I would love to own one. Do you have a favorite Williams card? Looking forward to the rest of the cards.

Please scan the Cronin, it's one of my nicest looking cards as well as one of my favorites.

I have this vintage-ish card from 1994 Archives (FT/FS by the way). Since I'm too lazy to scan, here is a pic from eBay

Okay, it's from 1976, which qualifies as vintage, but not from his playing days...

TED1976.jpg

One of my favorite Ted items from Upper Deck. I think I had to send in wrappers for it. Always thought it would look beautiful with a silver auto in the dark part, but it'll have to stay as is.

And who could forget the Ted Williams Card Company? I love that the UD photo and pic in the TWCC logo are the same.

And why not? My two Ted GU: Jersey #/100, bat #/50

.....I love the cutoff uniforms- great eye for seeing that as I had not looked at that closely in some time.

Big gunz is right..........

I've just scratched the surgace of my collection ;) ;)
