Somethings going to get done today. Personally I hope he goes to Washington and becomes the face of that franchise. Thoughts?

I don't know about face of the franchise...that's Zimm. But that would be a great corner infield with Zimm at 3rd and Tex at 1st.

I like where the team is heading offensively... but their pitching STINKS. I see big years out of Milledge and Flores though...

Long run, the Nats should have better pitching on the way. Jordan Zimmerman is a start. Assuming they pony up the cash for Strasburg, that's a future 1-2 right there IMO.

No really, I agree with the above poster. Lowell needs to go and Tex needs to come.

Honestly, Tex is pretty vastly overrated...He's a 30-100 1B. Excellent glove, yes. But he really hasn't been an incredible offensive force outside of Texas's microwaved bandbox. Don't see him as a $20MM a year guy.

How you are overrated when your a 30-100 1b?? Not to mention your are heading into the prime of your career and you were one of the only players on your team last season that hit successfully in the post season? Not to mention you have a great glove. 20 mill a year ? No i agree, but definately not overrated.

30-100 w/ excellent glove is overrated and not an offensive force? I think we've been spoiled by the steroid era ;) I'd take that from a 1B anyday, provided it was consitant year in and year out.
