I have been waiting on a Mike Schmidt bat knob redemption from 2013 Tier One for 10 months. Since I redeemed this card I have seen actual LIVE Mike Schmidt bat knob cards in:

2013 Tier One Baseball (autograph + bat knob)
2013 Five Star Baseball (bat knob)
2014 Tier One (bat knob)

So 3 products have now come and gone containing these bat knobs yet somehow I am still waiting for mine to be made. Got the typical "replacement of equal value" offer and zero acknowledgement/explanation of them including live knobs in releases after my redemption was issued.

Soooooooooo do I wait it out? I can't even fathom what they'd send me as replacement. I know the Five Star one sold for $800, can't remember the other 2.

I've done "replacement of equal value" for crappy low end cards way back in 2010-2011 and gotten even crappier low end cards in exchange. No experience with something this "high end".

that's awesome thanks for the info! I did find a google thumbnail of the auto knob from 2013 Tier One, auction seems to have disappeared from internet searches though

Have you talked to an actual person at Topps? If not, take a day off of work and sit at home on hold listening to David Wright for 3 hours until you get a. Live voice to bitch at.

Yeah i caught them shortly before closing earlier this week, seemed pretty dismissive and gave me the replacement option. Told them I'd think about it and get back to them and please leave it pending until I say otherwise. They didn't have an answer as to why there's Schmidt bat knobs in releases after this redemption LOL.

Based on the replies I will sit patient for my knob :p

Add to the chorus...wait it out.

They really have gotten better at fulfilling these since they switched their process. It can still take time (sometimes a long time), but since they switched internal processes, all of mine have been filled.

Man, this is a terrible story, sorry to hear this man. I would totally wait it out 100%. I don't understand how you could be waiting on yours but those others came out.

This also rips right to the core of my comments in the other redemption thread about buying a high end redemption. What if Topps never makes this card? Then @The Collector has to ask for a replacement!? What the hell do they replace it with? Does @The Collector send them the email or proof for what he paid for the stupid thing and they try and make it right?

@The Collector - When does it expire? Not that it's anytime soon but god damn I'd wait it out. 99% chance they can't give you a replacement to make it right.
