The Super Sweet Early 00's Thread

It's hard to see in the pic, but this is a 2001 Topps base card with a stamp that reads "Baseball Limited Edition For Topps Employees 1951-2001". It's not serial numbered, either.

@Philip J. Fry love me employee set cards If anyone has either of Nomar Garciaparra I'm your huckleberry

Part of the 90-00's group I'm in wanted to show off the 2000 Retro-Future Refractors cards. Somehow did not have this scan saved. It is now !!

In case anyones wondering the designs patterned after the 1955 Bowman set TV screen style

If you come across any Jeff Frye show issues in the archives I know a guy who would be interested.

Been taking a break in Sept from my Clemens posts while i went to my UT storage. Back with another box. Before I start on the slabs have a few raw to show off from the 2005 Flair Dynasty Foundations booklets. As an aside - this is not even close to what I own. Have more back east and more buried here. So just what I'm locating. I have a box set aside for jumbo items now. These will go in that area.

2005 Flair Dynasty Foundations Level 1 /150
2005 Flair Dynasty Foundations Level 1 Patch/99

Slabs to follow and if I find more raw will show

Here's a few from the early 00's. At this time in my life I had no interest in collecting at all, and the Alomar PC was languishing in a shoe box, moving from closet to closet as I changed residences...

2000 Pacific Premier Date /27. This one was a PSA10 when I acquired it, and yes, the first thing I did was crack it out and never look back.

2000 Skybox Star Rubies Extreme /50. Remember when everything under the sun just HAD to be extreme? Especially fast food and soft drinks. EXTREME FREAKING CHICKEN NUGGETS! MOUNTAIN DEW EXTREME ACTION! Or whatever.

2000 Topps MVP promotion. This was the mail-in card that you could use in a futile attempt to win something or other. Limited to 100 copies. Damn hard to find!

Another Bernie Williams show card from the PC that will go later in the year ahead. The 2002 Chicago Sun Times show cards were of course derided at the time as "contrived" short prints. I ignored people and collected them anyways. They were show created to promote the DLP line

Bernie Williams 2002 Chicago Sun Times Show card of his 2001 Absolute Memorabilia card 52

Enjoy

Another Bernie show stamp card from the 2002 Chicago Sun Times show, showing that years base card 39. Numbered 2 of 5. Another one that survived the trip home in great shape.

Enjoy
