USPS deserves some follow-up props for this one, especially given all the frequent negativity surrounding their handling of packages

I bought a card through ebay back on December 15, 2023. After a few weeks and tracking going cold, I requested a refund. The seller obliged without incident or argument on January 9, 2024 and we went our separate ways. Fast forward to today, when I am opening my last package of the day. I pull out a Timeless Teams dual auto, but I know I was not expecting one. First thought was someone screwed up my order again. The card looked familiar though and then I looked closer at the shipping label. Shipped 12/16/23! Of course, the card I bought almost a year ago that never came.

Almost 9 months to the day, it finally arrived.

I had to go back "a few pages" to find the original transaction, but I reached out to the seller to let them know the good news and to offer to re-pay for the card, since they lost out originally. This just happened, so no reply as of yet, but hopefully we both end up happy after this unexpected delivery. I would never expect anyone to wait that long for a package to arrive, but also proves you never know and lost is sometimes just late!

I had a TCDB trade show up this week after almost exactly a year. I wonder if someone finally instituted a policy of housecleaning and they're finding stuff that had fallen behind desks and whatnot.

I will definitely stick up for the USPS. Over the years I might have had 2 or 3 packages lost. Out of maybe a thousand? Or at least 800. And even when something goes from San Francisco to Florida, where it sits and waits for weeks (always Florida, seriously), it usually ends up here in Colorado eventually.

Same here. We ship a ton of packages for the family business and we've had less than five claims out of I don't even know how many thousands of packages over the last 22 years with USPS. Every once in a while a package will take a sightseeing adventure but they always seem to arrive.

FedEx and UPS on the other hand...ugh.
