Not trying to start rumors, but this is what my shop guy told me. I am not sure if the source is either the guy that owns Just, he is currently a razor employee, or if it was his topps rep

Tristar received word that because they are part of the Milb association that the players would be allowed to sign for them regardless of the razor contracts. In other words their Milb affiliation trumps the razor contracts so they will be allowed to have autos of the guys razor has exclusively.

Based on this information, he reduced his razor order thinking it would bomb if tristar had the autos as well.

I am a Razor guy, I had planned on buying some, but am curious about this.

If this has been discussed I apologize for the repost

Notice the date...this is an old post and the interesting information lives on page 3

Even if it is true, I don't think TriStar/MiLB can force the Razor exclusives to sign for them.

Hey you, sign for Tristar or we're not letting you play in the Minor Leagues!

{Holding a sealed envelope to my head} Just, Tri-Star, & Razor...

What are three things I do not care about?

I agree with you on that point, but I have the feeling they have the autos already on stickers.

HI-OOOO!

Back to the thread, I am completely in agreement. Tri-Star and Just have sucked for years, and Razor just seems to have a teenage drama-queen like obsession with screwing over Topps.

I doubt the Razor exclusive guys would of signed them and risked their high dollar contracts.

The players cannot be forced to sign.

If their intent was to sign an autograph deal with a company, and they intend to honor that deal, there is nothing that minor league baseball can or will do.

From what I have heard from BG, no razor players have signed anything "for tristar" now, they did do a few shows pre razor and signed autographs there. I called tri star and asked them about how they obtain the autographs, they would not tell me. However they did assure me that there were autographs of those players in the product. Having said that, I really do not care if they do have the autos. I would care if topps or donruss had them, but for some reason I am not concerned with tri star. My gut tells me that razor is going to produce a nice looking product, and now that the autos are on card I am even more excited about it.

Thanks. It is my favorite right now... but there are a few (hopefully) coming out soon that will be even nicer.

EDIT: I think I'm becoming Lars' personal photographer. I have 3 cards so far with another potentially coming and one of his 8x10s on FutureStarPhotos.

How much would it really matter? I mean it would matter somewhat but still its tri-star.....
And Razor is different how?

Tristar hasn't done bad at all the last few products. They have some really good sellers!

tristar is that former prospect who has yet to live up to expectations. Many are predicting that he never will.

In that comparison, Razor is the draftee with a ton of hype that has done nothing yet in professional baseball.

Sure, there's excitement in potential, but there's more excitement in follow-through and tangible stats.
