Like the title asks, if you were going to a show to get an 'in person' auto but only have the funds for one or the other, which one do you walk out with??

I'm leaning towards the ball...

Most definitely the OMLB. I think it looks a lot nicer and it's a much better display item.

I'd rather have the rookie card simply because I have a ton of balls already signed.Although if they were already a proven star then I would probably like to have the ball instead.I guess it just depends for me.

Thats what I'm thinking as well, but a nice psa/dna slabbed 84TT RC looks pretty good also...

I choose rc card.

Of course letting anyone, even nolan himself write on his rookie might bother me.

Good thing you have multiple copies.

I would love to have a auto'd Ryan RC!

Not really a big fan of autographed baseballs. Bat on the other hand would likely be my choice.

I would go with the rc.

I'm really hoping the funds allow for both! 8-)

But a ball is a nice centerpiece for a display...

You can buy a signed ball on ebay cheaper than the signing fee.You do not see to many of his signed rc's though.

Yeah, you dont see too many of his auto'd rc's on the bay, but the balls are selling for more than I can get one auto'd in person for($35), and I'll know its legit and mint! What do you like better, your 84F or the 84TT auto?

I am thinking I just may have to get both and let the financial chips fall where they may.

Shop around and you can get a certified ball for $25 or less.I have a signed 84 tiffany as well.

But i like these best.

DocGoodenCollector, they both look great.

Problem is that both my 84F RC's are not quite mint and I really do not want to use one for an auto. However, all of my 84TT RC are quite nice and would make a good base for an auto. But I'm still practicly sold on the ball. I searched the bay yesterday for a better deal on the ball but just could not find a mint, clean omlb with c.o.a for less than $50. And, for that price I'd rather just get it in person so I know its mint and legit!

I'm going to have to do some searching and thinking because now I feel I NEED both.. :/
