Would you trust eBay's Global Shipping Program on a $1500 card?

Forgot to turn off my international shipping rules on an auction (have read some horror stories about shipping overseas). Just got a $1500 offer from South Korea. How foolproof is eBay's Global Shipping Program?

Yes, it meets all the criteria of being fully protected. 1) South Korea is an approved country in the program, it is under $2,500 in total value and once it is the US Distribution Center's hands you are no longer responsible for the following:

"You aren't responsible for item loss or damage that occurs after the item is forwarded by the US shipping center. Once an item has been forwarded by the US shipping center, you won't be responsible for refunding the buyer if an eBay Money Back Guarantee or PayPal Purchase Protection case is filed against you for one of the following reasons:
A buyer claims an item isn't received or a package is damaged in transit"

However, I am not sure what would happen in an item not as described case. Maybe call eBay to verify the best course of action when $1,500 is at stake.
