I found out that BA will be making their official announcement on Monday. Naturally I had to beat them to the punch in some fashion....

I've chosen who I consider to be the Top 6 candidates in the Poll above, but I'm sure there will be many of you who will choose someone different. Feel free to post your choice if he's not on the list above.

Fair enough - I've added Gamel and Cahill to the list.

Please re-cast your votes. I promise not to edit it anymore.

One of the guys on the list makes me tingle very much, a man-crush I have not seen the likes of since a young Dale Murphy was coming up, but Wieters is awesome.

Michael Main!!!!

In all seriousness, I'd say Freddie Freeman. Everyone expected Wieters, Price, Heyward, etc. to have great years, no one thought Freddie would rise so quickly. Check out these stats, keep in mind HE IS STILL ONLY 18 IN HIS FIRST FULL SEASON IN LOW A.

.316, 19 Hr's, 95 RBI's, only 86 K's in 130 games.. 33 Doubles, 7 triples. 155 Hit's, .521 Slugging %, OPS of just about .900? Not to mention he's slick defensively as well. Unbelievable year for Freddie.

I still have Price a tick above Wieters in terms of prospects, but Wieters had a better year.

he at least deserves a mention.

Without quesion, if I were a betting man, and I guess I am, I would say the award is between Wieters, Price, and Kila K. I think Wieters had the better season, where Price had a delayed start.

I would go against the crowd and say Gamel. He's just been dominant all year in AA. Wieters is good and we expect him to be, but Gamel came out of nowhere (he was ok, but not this good) and tore up AA pitching.

I say Gamel.

Wieters gets my pick.

I'm not sold on Bumgarner because I don't think he'll perform as well at higher levels. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong. I would put Alderson ahead of him.

As much as I would love to say Cahill, he probably isn't even a top 5 candidate. I say Matts Wiener.

Id say Cahill had the most impressive pitching season out of anyone other than Price.

While i love the fact the Freddie was mentioned by nick what about micheal Stanton he absolutely mashed!!!!!!

Tommy hanson also deserves a mention 163 k's to only 52 walks and a 2.41 era and a no hitter.

And for an old school nod Dallas Mcpherson he hit 42 jacks for albuquerque

Gotta be Kila. The deeper you delve into his stats the more amazing his season was. 104BB 66K's in 401AB's. 1.085OPS .456OBP .628SLG.
