Haven't posted in a while but I figured some members might find my latest pick up pretty cool too. This past weekend I was able to volunteer and attend New York Comic Con, the countries second largest comic convention next to San Diego, over the past few years it's gotten bigger, and bigger. Each year I've been able to meet my fair share of celebrities while on staff. This year I found out Danny Mcbride was attending to promote his latest comedy with James Franco, and Natalie Portman.
As soon as I found this out I purchased a promo pack of Eastbound & Down trading cards that were given up last year to promote the shows premiere, packs contain 5 cards, each depicting Kenny Powers with every team he played for on the show. Being a RC auto collector I figured I try to have his Atlanta rookie card signed if I could catch him after his panel, usually all the celebrities leave right after their panel so it was going to be tough to catch him on the way out, after waiting by the VIP curtain for about 15-20 minutes, during which I saw Corey Feldman, met James Franco, and said hi to Stan Lee, Mr. Mcbride never showed up. I figured all hope was lost so I started to head up stairs where all the volunteers keep their belongings, when I got upstairs who was still there to my surprise doing an interview? Danny Mcbride! The Result was this:

He was awesome about the whole thing, joking around with the staff and taking pictures with anybody who asked for one. Glad I was able to add something unique to my rookie card auto collection, especially since I got the auto in person. thanks for reading!
