TGutta08 was kind enough to get this done for me at a signing this past weekend. Paid $5 extra for the WS inscription. Brings me up to 3/8 for Twins on both WS teams (including manager Tom Kelly in the count.) The toughest of course is going to be finding a Puckett that I like, and at a price I'm willing to pay

Glad the Hrbek got to you so quickly!

I was surprised when I got the email letting me know that I had a package to pick up. I assumed it would show up tomorrow or Friday at the earliest. Definitely a nice little surprise since I won't be getting anymore mail until Tuesday, if I even have any mail that is.

Morning.
Loved the warrior when I was younger! It was a daily toss up who I liked more. Warrior, hogan or Macho. Those 3 and Andre are my wrestling Mount Rushmore. Absolutely loved them.
I actually warrior suplexed my sister into a coffee table once....

Good afternoon everyone!

Well, I think it is about time that I give an explanation as to why I have been away from the MT and FCB in general (other than reading a few threads here and there)... Back in January, I had a routine checkup, that cascaded into something much bigger than I ever thought...

Turns out that I have been diagnosed with cancer, lymphoma to be correct.

I will not go into the details of what type it is nor the odds that I have been given, but things are looking up and good. I am being seen by the best specialist in the field at Sloan Kettering in Manhattan. I fully intend to beat the crap out this thing! Treatments will start by the end of the month, and should be kinda time consuming; so I expect to have plenty of time to come in the MT and read everyone's hellos/comments/pulls/pickups like I used to before all of this started!!

I have only just one request: I would like to keep this as "low key" as possible. Parts of my elderly family doesn't know about it, and I'd like to keep it that way for as long as possible. The last thing they need is to worry about me. Which is why I am not talking about it via twitter and/or Facebook just yet.

Worry not though, I still intend to be as Frenchie as I can for a looooooooong time

Afternoon all, patiently waiting for this day to be over with. Very anxious for 7:30 am tomorrow to come around, gonna be glued to the computer looking for the list of Soldiers that have been selected for promotion. Hopefully I get good news...

Off to sleep. So tired last night then the news of Warrior hitting me this morning has left me in a severe funk all day. Too many tears shed.

Frenchie, all the best to you. You made a great choice in hospitals, I had a very close friend that was diagnosed with cancer, and he chose Sloan Kettering for treatment and consultations. He lives in Southeastern Wisconsin, and he did rack up lots of air miles. And now he is in complete remission, cancer free at this time. Luckly the team at Sloan Kettering caught the cancer in time.

I got this 1/1 in my last big purchase. It puts me one away of completing a Recollection rainbow. Take a look at them all in the April pickup post.

poppudaimadochi - Many thoughts your way Frenchie! Sounds like you have an extremely positive drive and understanding going into all of this, I honestly think happiness and positive thoughts is truly a huge help to any sort of healing. Keep us posted if you can, and if there is anything any of us can do for you just ask :)
