This is what I was looking for "relic" not even called a game used patch or jersey anymore. This leads me to believe those "patches" could be from anything or even manufactured just for the card. -

Does the back of the card say something like this: "The patch on this card is not from any specific game, event, etc" The new patches are most likely all manufactured and not worn by Griffey so who knows where or what that patch is was actually part of. -

Opinion here: The first thing that immediately jumped out is the 5/10 ink is a significantly different color than the signature. To me, instinct is that someone used a type of wipe or chemical (windex) and removed the original and wrote in a /10 hoping to up the value and dupe potential... -

Beautiful, those uncut atomics are amazing. Even rarer than the highly sought after die cut, they now add another card to the 1997 Refractor rainbow set. Can anyone confirm knowing someone who had the Griffey or proof that one made it out?
