Why is it lame to ask for a replacement for damaged cards, regardless of what they are? I paid for a product - that product better be in excellent condition.
Royals fan here.
DO NOT:
Overspend on James Shields. He is 33 on Opening Day and will command a 5 year deal in the $15-$20 per range. Offer him a fair deal, but if he says no, then so be it. Take the draft pick and find another FA or give Finnegan a shot in the rotation.

Good point. I guess with a smorgasbord of collectors with varying interests in the hobby, its difficult for specific, interesting conversations to get up and going. I would love to see a blog implemented that is integrated into the threads on the boards (posted to message boards to garner a...
Glad to see some changes will be taking place. I have been a member here for a while now and have taken some long breaks from time to time (nothing to do with FCB, just life getting in the way). When I started checking this place out again a few weeks back it seemed DEAD, with no real thought...
J.P. - what are your thoughts on Patrick Leonard (Rays)? I was not a fan of the Royals just tossing him into the Shields/Myers (et. al.) trade like he was an afterthought. Do you think he has some real potential?
Chris is probably the breaker I have the MOST respect for. I have literally watched 300+ breaks he has done and I cannot remember I time he has handled cards in a manner that needs to be called out. Has a card slipped from his hand? Yes. He then immediately shows any damage he made on camera...
You're missing the point. Leaf calls it "The Best of Baseball" 2014 Pro Debut is anything but the Best of Baseball. When Topps or Panini throws that auto of Aaron Crow or Joakim Soria into a $70 box, the product is not called 'Topps Greats of Game" or 'Panini Just the Stars". You expect to...
That's your answer? How about telling everyone WHY that product was included in your product? Its certainly no where close to "Best of Baseball". Oh...and add me to the list of people that think this Leaf offering is a complete joke.
#2 would only be possible if the communication device stopped after stepping in the box, otherwise to much opportunity to relay what pitch is coming. I agree with all your other thoughts, though.
I am probably one if the biggest critics of Topps. I pretty much despise everything they are and what they have become. That being said, this was a pretty awesome idea. I like the the fact that people will be searching for these cards, wondering if they are in a dumpster forever lost.

Someone brought up an interesting point on another forum that I have thought about a lot ever since I was thinking of pre-ordering Bowman Inception cases many months ago (When they could be had at $80 a box).
It was pretty interesting timing that just weeks before a slow selling product...
I define overrated as someone who gets a ton of attention and hype, but has not lived up to it.
Some may say Josh Hamilton. Sure he got tons of money, but it's no surprise that he's not what he used to be anymore. Then there are the players that people think highly of, that just haven't...
