Item as not described...now how to do it properly?

So I made a purchase on ebay. I've had an account since 1998 and I have yet to have an item that I purchased that I had to send back nor did I have an item that I had to offer a refund. So I opened an item not as described case. Now do I send the item back with DC#, well protected? I sent an email to the member four days ago and still no response. So ebay is giving this guy until the 23rd. Should I wait, should I send? Thanks fellas....

I would wait. See if E-bay can help before you send..

If you opened a case through ebay, do not send anything back until ebay tells you to.
