Ugliest Bowman Chrome Design?

Seeing the '14 images and the debate about the borders got me thinking about ugliest of the Bowman releases, specifically since the introduction of chrome in 1997.

My vote? 2007.
Just unattractive, boring, and terrible looking in base especially. Yuck.

2002 is a not too distant 2nd worst for me.

2004 was horrible....Dull black design lacking any color except for the image.....no color borders on parallels....yuck

I know this is only my opinion and I will probably lose all credibility for any opinion going forward, but I always disliked the 2005 chromes.

I can see it. A lot of the Bowman releases blend into each other in my opinion.

I actually really liked the '07.

But yeah, '08 was bad. '06 wasn't anything special either...

2008 marked the first BC release without etching (2007 BCDP was the first BC baseball set w/o etching)

Definitely agree with you about the 2007 design. The refractor autos look nice in person, however. The blue ref rookie cards look pretty good also with that green-blue combo, but the base cards look so bad.

Many of the 2010s were off-center and they were ugly.
