I was thinking about that one but decided 8" was too small of screen (I wanted something more 8.5"x11" sized to read my reference PDF files) and I think in one year I can probably get a black friday deal on that type of tablet with a 10" screen.
as for cards, I think $36 for boxes of 2014 Topps Update Hobby was a good deal and picked up some of those. Paid fair prices for 2014 Golden Age and 2014 Bond Archives for releases that other members of my family would like and those will be among their gifts.

Yeah it's a gift for someone. Seemed really solid for only 100 bucks and she wouldn't use it too much for watching movies or anything so it should be perfect. Plus the Office year sub is around 50-60 alone. I thought it was a steal.

as long as it's not processor intensive, it should be good. The gutless performance of the tablet was my secondary consideration in not buying it but rather holding out a year to see what next Black Friday brings. It's pretty apparent from the smaller screen size and gutless performance that Microsoft partnered with Walmart to move these tablets from inventory.
A big black friday semi-surprise to me is how 2014 Immaculate cases are not seeming to move at avg $125/box in a black friday deal. I suppose anyone buying unopened product realizes most boxes will still yield less than $80 in hits at EV so that may explain not much buying at even at avg of $125/box (instead of $170-$220 box at preorder/release).
Topps has some good deals on its website today for Cyber Monday, including the 2014 baseball mini boxes for $24.99

I had a case of 2009 Upper Deck Signature Stars in my cart and just like that they sold out. I would have doubled my money on that stuff. They still have a great price on it but they raised the price from $450 to $650/cs and still cheap at $35 a box and it was $20/box. They sell $50-$60 on ebay and it's the off-season. I missed out dammit!
