Nice rainbow! I have always liked the design of that set. What's the story on the sample card?

I don’t have a ton of info on the sample. It didn’t follow the normal stamping approach that Donruss used, so that was odd. It was originally listed on eBay and I ended up being the highest bidder. I remember there were other cards from the set stamped in a similar way listed as well.

Added another one. I'm still searching for the 2006 Fleer Greats of the Game Bat Barrel, it's the last barrel I need from the major releases anyway. I think there was a brick last year that had a barrel or two. Please let me know if anyone knows who has that '06 Fleer GOTG barrel, I'd love to make an offer on it.

Very nice Jeremy. I'm glad you got the new one you were after. I have a scan of my own to update after the mail shows up.

Here is my newest pickup. The 2018 Immaculate Laundry Tag 1/1. Great timing with the ebay 15% off coupon help me land this on.

This is an absolutely incredible post. Thank you for sharing. Bat barrells are still something special.

It's been a while since I posted here, I've had some additions I've been pretty pleased with lately...

The 1995 Leaf Heading For The Hall card has always been a design I liked and have had that card since 1995.

I generally don't buy cards based on the serial numbers, but when I saw this 1991/5000 appear on COMC, I figured it was worth adding an extra considering 1991 is a significant number in Twins/Puckett history.

I don't think I knew this existed, but this Groiler Story of America card popped up on COMC for $6. Didn't realize until I had it in hand, that it's a jumbo.

I know there is a thread about random places in which people have purchased cards.

My excitement over this next card resulted in me taking a photo of the groceries I was buying to document me scrambling in the checkout line.

1997 unused redemption card for $25 on COMC. I had it on my need list, figured I'd likely never find it because I assume there can't be too many of these still around.

I have also managed to put together much of the 2018 Optic run.

I am missing the /5 Green and /1 Gold Vinyl. I don't think any of those have surfaced yet? (Last year two of the 2017 Optic /5 Green were on eBay by August 5)

Interestingly enough, I bought the /10 Gold and /7 Cracked Ice as eBay BIN's from different sellers within 2 hours of each other one night in September.

Still looking for a reasonably priced /25 Black from the 2017 Optic set if anybody has one for sale. (I don't have the /1 Gold Vinyl either, but...)

Cool cards Matthew and thanks for sharing!

I like that heading for the hall card as well. I’m a fan of dicut cards in general though.

I was also surprised at the size of that Groiler Story card when mine arrived.

Nice story/pic on that redemption card buy. I love those unredeemed/expired cards and agree that there would likely be far fewer of those out there than the actual redemptions. I pick them up whenever I can find a new one.

Nice Optic run! I haven’t seen a /5 or the Gold Vinyl pop up either. I’m excited to see the 2019 Donruss set, especially if they continue the throwback styles since it’ll be 1985. I’m hoping they have Puckett in some cool stuff if that’s the case.

It may very well be the last Puckett cards that I chase after 2007. I feel pretty close to shifting my focus to cards through 2007. I’m not ready to call it quits completely, just want to prioritize what I’m chasing is all.

Best regards,
Jeremy

Had a few days off this week so I started organizing my collection better. Still a bit of work to do combining my lists and sorting through everything. I have come across a couple oddball cards that don't seem to fit anywhere on my checklists. Anyone know what these are?

The Post Cereal card has tabs at each corner as if they were supposed to be bent and inserted into some sort of display or something. It looks to be cut from a larger piece or a box. The game card is part of a team set. I did some searching, but didn't come up with anything.

The game card is from the Strat-O-Matic Baseball game. Puckett was available in several releases. I believe the card on the right was issued in 1992 from MSA for post cereal releases. I’m pretty certain other players had similar versions available as well. I have a cut out of some sort that’s very similar. Mine has red text and an advertisement back to it. I’ll post a picture tomorrow.

Thank you! Strat-o-Matic, would have never found that. I found another Post Cereal card like it from a Cecil Fielder collector. He had one with a blue border as well.

Puckett will have a Strat-O-Matic card from every year he played.

Onions, here's the example of the 1992 MSA card that I have. Mine appears to be a cut out of some sort. I'd love to find a version of the card you have though, so please let me know if anyone has that available for sale.
