Hi,
Saw today that Manual will NOT field a varsity baseball team this year. I can' t imagine that this will sit well with fellow B12 members. Here is my question - why does Manual have trouble fielding teams? I know that baseball participation is low now a days among African-Americans but here in Chicago the vast majority of city high schools with 99% African-American enrollment field teams. Many of the teams might not be real good (although a few teams are very good) but at least they have a full team that plays a full schedule. Why does Manual have trouble finding 13 or 14 sophs, juniors and seniors to play baseball? Is there not a little league program on the southside of Peoria to feed into Manual?
Please help.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
