Don't fret, I placed it with an order of about 10 cards. I fear it's a stock photo as a Beckett seller. I'll see what comes in.

OMG - if you won this and are willing to move it I'll be the happiest dude in the world! I'm gonna guess it's a legit die-cut - there hasn't been a stock photo of it on Beckett (up until this auction) and the card pictured in the auction is one of the first 50 die cut versions.

Here's a little cut / paste from the Post the top 10 cards on your wantlist thread, and my list from 2/21/2014 (which not surprisingly is still the same):

1. 1998 Leaf Fractal Materials Die Cuts Z-Axis Leather Hideo Nomo GLS #176 (first 50 cards of the 1000)
2. any pre-2000 1/1 / printing plate of Todd Helton
3. 2005 Topps Rookie Cup Gold Troy Tulowitzki AU #159
4. any Todd Helton diffractor patterns I don't have
5. 1997 Bowman's Best Mirror Image Inverted Refractor Konerko / McGwire / Helton / Palmeiro
6. 2001 Donruss 2000 Donruss Retro Season Stat Line Larry Walker #35 (serial #ed /37)
7. 2001 Donruss Season Stat Line Juan Uribe RR #197 (serial #ed /22)
8. 2003 Donruss Season Stat Line Aaron Cook #41 (serial #ed /2)
9. 2005 Donruss Season Stat Line Garrett Atkins #168 (serial #ed /10)
10. 1997 Pinnacle Inside Diamond Edition Eric Young #58

Sorry for your loss, but thanks for the tip! Sewall regularly comes up with some nice stuff. Just scored a 1998 Elite Master Craftsmen Chipper for $15 b/c he accidentally used the wrong stock photo.

Heh. Had that in my cart earlier today but scoffed at the shipping since I didn't add it before my larger order. Whoops! Great deal!

Once you figure out what you'd want, I'm interested in the Griffey

Are they the ones with the XXXX/5000, or the ones like this:

Curious what the difference is? Other than the obvious

The ones that are Sample/5000 are quite common, and would all sell for less than $5 each. I think those were given to dealers with the Studio order forms. The ones that are XXXX/5000 are very rare, only a few of each made, and were usually made for internal company use. These ones are potentially big money, potentially stupid irresponsible money if a few collectors who do not have them get into a bidding war.
