I have thought about that, but figure they will not hold up either, so really a waste if that is the case.

Have him re-sign in some sort of paint or sharpie pen. The standard blue or black ink will likely do the same. I had to go with the sepia versions on my 07's (some reason held out better)
As stated above, the regular 07 set was also done in silver or gold paint pen and I'd say 90%+ have no issues
