Hey Bagwell fans, I feel a bit out of place being in this realm in that I'm a Wes Chamberlain collector, but anyway, I wanted to see if anyone knew about a unique Bagwell card - a 1992 Fleer Rookie Sensations card with silver foil instead of the typical gold foil. I have a Lankford (pictured). Needless to say, I really want the Wes Chamberlain one! Any thoughts?lankford.jpg

Could the different foil be that someone cut out the card from the Rookie Sensation Sheets? I know I have a sheet or 2 around here somewhere just don't remember if the sheets had different foil color fronts from the pack issued insert. Maybe someone can check?

The promotional sheets were smaller cards that didn't have any foil on them. This is a full sized card with silver foil.

Oh man, I forgot how many boxes I had in storage that says Nates Baseball Stuff. I have a pile of them sitting next to the bed. But I cant play with them until I unpack everything else. Priorities... Sheesh.

I think me and Nate are sowed up on the triple headers. Only thing we were wondering is are there more than three variations?

Three? Wow. I only know of two with the Cubs ball.

I picked up a box of them for like $20 or so in trade and they are all Astros versions. But the placement of the players is what I'm referencing. I went through the whole box and was able to find three combinations of placement. I had heard of it previously but I had an easier time having them in hand.

The only variations I've seen with the Cubs is the player placement is reversed. The same player is in the middle in both. I may need to keep an eye out now.

And the renaming project has restarted. Made it thru 1995 so far. Now it starts to get difficult...

But in the meantime, here are scans of my latest acquisitions from Christmas (remember my PC was in storage and I couldnt scan and add anything until now), and a few recent additions from ebay:

Gold Holograms, finally back where they belong after 13 years. They dont scan gold, but they are gold.

I think I had heard of it before. If you have an extra, I'll be happy to have it. Without my cards in front of me...I can't tell if I have it or not. I just recently discovered a variant for the 1991 topps rookie traded(gray back versus white back) so it wouldn't surprise me if I am missing the HR prefix version.

Nice gold rush sample btw. Billy(therion) said he had a few of those after I posted one I purchased a while back but I swear mine and yours are the only two I've ever seen since 2006. Somehow I don't think that card is very common.

Well, I guess now I gotta check my Topps traded. As for the gold rush, it is the second I have seen. I saw one on COMC a while back, but made an offer instead of buying it outright. The seller declined me and tripled the price. ******** move if you ask me. So I was on ebay the other night, and it was part of a 4 sample set of Bagwells. Of course I had the other three, but I hit buy it now so fast it made my own head spin. I wasnt gonna let this one get away. :)

ok, the one in my binder is white... now off to check if I even have a double to compare.

Update - I had BOTH versions in my doubles box. Added the grey to the binder. Thanks for that heads up. I wonder if there are white and grey versions of the glossy? Both of mine were non-glossy.

Thanks Aaron!
