That was one of my favorite sets from '98. I once had a full base set that I've since pieced away but I would always be down for cracking more of this stuff, so simple, no inserts and building the Preferred set was a really fun challenge...have fun with it!Two of these destined for my desk tomorrow:

Thanks, I need it; I still need both of Thomas' Preferred Prized.

That was one of my favorite products of the 90s also. SO underrated. Opened one box and hit one of the Preferred Prized Collection of Tony Gwynn. Wish I still had it.

In my experience, cards on ST tend to sell at better than eBay prices.

So, the 1998 Donruss Collections rip was actually a solid break considering only 5 cards per 18 pack box, with just two boxes.
Odds are a Spectra-Tech Prized Collections in every 3 packs; expected 12, actual 16! 8 Donruss, 5 Leaf, 2 Elite, and 1 Preferred!
Odds of base Preferred are 1 in every 2; expected 18, received 18 (plus the 19th Prized Collections).
Some of the base Donruss cards were severely miscut, which I hadn't seen in this set before.
I pulled 3 Frank Thomas cards, 2 of which were Prized Collections...but neither was a Preferred
. Still broke the odds there.
The hit was definitely the Schilling Preferred Prized Collections.
