There's a Soler eclipse coming to Cincy.
David Kaplan of SportsTalk Live in Chicago reports that the Cubs will call up outfield prospect Jorge Soler on Tuesday.
Soler has been on a tear lately at Triple-A Iowa, going 9-for-14 with two homers and seven RBI over his last three games. It's been an injury-shortened season for the Cuban defector, but Soler has crushed the ball when healthy, batting .338/.432/.687 with 14 homers and 54 RBI over 61 games. He's just 22 and hadn't played above A-ball before this season, but the Cubs obviously think Soler has earned a shot. He has enormous raw power and is worth owning in all fantasy leagues, as Soler will be the everyday right fielder down the stretch. Aug 25 - 11:23 PM
