I broke this box a few days ago after getting this box from my local distributor, but have been busy with work so I didn’t have time to scan and recap this box. 2009 Playoff Contenders is an interesting product as it gives 4 autographs per box, with on-card autographs of the premier players from the 2009 draft. There are also short printed college uniform autographs that are extremely rare to find and fun to find. Here is how I did:
Playoff Ticket:
Matt Forte 64/99
Rookie Ticket Autographs:
Quinn Johnson
Johnny Knox
Brooks Foster
Chris “Beanie” Wells (On-Card Autograph)
I think I did pretty good as Beanie is one of the better autographs to get. Johnny Knox played very well for a rookie so I am happy to hit one of his autographs as well. Everything is FT/FS, but I would prefer to trade for Derrek Lee in baseball, prospects or sell.
