I just saw this. I'm going to leave it be, unless it stays reeeeeally cheap. Nothing against Panini, but the design on this one is basically a rip-off of the Topps Tier-1 from last year, minus the MLB icons.

If there was ever a setthat was going to sell well without having MLB logos, this is going to be it. I am sincerely hoping it will be leverage for Panini once it comes time to talk to the MLB about getting a license, all they have to do is say look at this product, look how well it was done and how many fans love it, and imagine what it would've been if we had your logos.

Thats not quite how mlbp thinks.

I completley agree with you. I would like to see them do gu like they did with old school certified.

I watched the Wilhelm (as I have a lot of his stuff), but I couldn't justify that price. Glad it went to a board member. You a big Wilhelm collector? If so, I'll keep you in mind if I decide to move mine. (very possible with an opportunity that might have just opened up)

Take a look at the Knob insert images, so many with PSA or Mears authentication labels. At least the bats seem to possess solid provenance.
