ah yes, I almost forgot about his relatively dismal postseason performances.

Bumgarner is the greatest postseason pitcher of our generation and possibly one of the greatest ever.

Arrieta had an amazing 2015 season (better than Kershaw) and has continued his dominance through the first month of 2016 but Kershaw has been one of the best, or the best, pitcher in baseball for roughly 6 seasons now. If Arrieta can continue his dominance for an extended length of time like Kershaw has then he can be in the talks of a generational best pitcher.
