I don't pretend to be a vintage expert but imo $800 for that lot would be the steal of the decade. Any one of those 9 bottom cards would pay for the lot. Those are some of the most iconic and well-sought cards of all time. BUY BUY BUY

Is this the person selling you the lot?

So many reprint/counterfit cards in the lot just by the scans that its not worth it unless you want to show off fake cards to company. Like in the other thread in the baseball forum, its way to good to be true, and all the t206's with the red piedmonts are fakes. Also the HOF rc's and premium cards are some of the most forged cards of all time. Do it if you like, but save yourself 800 bucks and move on. If you want to buy it, and keep the scam alive for future customers, go for it. I'd just pass if I were you though.

I agree with wolfman. Too many red flags in that lot. I would pass.

Could you scan those bottom cards:

ty cobb 1939 famous outfider manacer detroit tigers
babe ruth 1915 sporting news
willie mays 1951 bowman
ted williams 1941 playball

Also I recommend you trying over at the Net54 baseball card forums. To get further opinions.

Sorry I assumed you had all ready authenticated the lot and were only concerned with price. If a few of them can be authenticated I'd think you'd do well. How well do you know the seller? Does he believe them to be real? Even sold as reprints you might have a few hundo. Condition is obviously a maijor factor as well.

I think you need to get some of the big cards authenticated before you agree with the seller. As others have noted, some of them look really bad. I don't see a Willard's Chocolate Ruth, but there is a Babe Ruth Candy Ruth, which looks like a bad reprint. The 33 Goudey Ruth looks very suspicious also. However, it's possible that even if these cards are bad, if some of the other cards are good, it could possibly be worth it. Maybe try to agree with the seller to have the 24 Willard's Chocolate Cobb, T205 Cobb, and E95 Cobb authenticated by PSA, BVG, or SGC. If these cards are good, you're still gold.

 if real there would have been $50,000 worth of cards on that table

worthless reprints = worthless

garbage

the pics you show are awful but I can see a few good enough to see they are ALL fake.
the cards I can guarantee 100% are fakes are ...

the T205 Cobb with its cropped image ... "Tigers" should not touch gold border, base on right side is heavily cropped too, etc..
the Wilson Franks Williams should have a solid white background not a cropped image with a new whiter border added.
The R319 Ruth is a common reprint with the image cropped (top of hat and elbow are easiest places to see it).
The Geo Ruth Candy Co card is also a fake the image color and back print is far too sepia and low quality and the caption is the wrong font especially the card number too small.

Both 1951 Bowman cards are missing the last line on the back that should say "1951 Bowman Gum Inc., Phila Pa USA"... this is where the words reprint were before they were removed.

T206s are all fakes, red Piedmonts do not exist same with dark colored (black?) Sweet Caporal, etc. plus the fronts of the T206 cards would never cast a glare like that (fakes are glossy)

All the other cards are well know as reprints, ie the M101-4/5 Thorpe and Ruth, 1941 PlayBall Williams, E95 Cobb, V122 Cobb and Ruth etc

PS.

If he tries to tell you they are real.... Tell the guy to turn over the 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #181 card and tell you what's written between the words "GOUDEY GUM CO." and "BOSTON" :p

"Renata Galasso Reprint"
