Robert Stephenson 6.0IP 2H 1R 1ER 3BB 5K in his double-A debut. IMO right up there with Bradley and Walker.

He actually gave up 2 ER, as his relief (Michael Lorenzen, also making his AA debut) allowed the guys he'd walked to score.

In other news, J.P. Crawford (Phillies' 1st rounder) promoted to Low-A Lakewood. :)

He was TOUGH tonight, I was impressed. He worked between 94-97 all night and was still hitting 96 in the 6th inning. He struck out the side in the 2nd and he worked out of a couple jams...most notably, his last pitch of the fifth inning hit 97 mph to leave the bases loaded as he blew the batter away with the high heat; and he yelled into his glove after getting the big K...I like seeing that kind of competitive fire.

Only one hard hit ball all night off him, the rest were grounders that found holes. His 96 mph fastball is effortless and he's a big kid who definitely has the body to handle a big workload.

Bottom line, he looked like a Major League pitcher. I want more of his cards after seeing him
