That '51 is begging for an auto. Good luck!
I met him while in New Mexico for vacation, so I shouldn't have any trouble :)

I'm going to have to get a 51 Antonelli card to send TTM. That would look great signed.
I got another Diamond Star card for my Yankee set today. This one is Bill Dickey #103. The high number cards are the more expensive ones. Got a good deal on this one.

The Colgan is rough, but it's really the only way I can afford a 100+ year old Cobb :D

Another Diamond Stars card and this time a non-Yankee
I saw this Lew Riggs #96 card and loved the photo and color, so I bought it.

dano7 - Love that 35 DS, Danny!! Great color on that one....check out the Rick Ferrell from that set, I may be a bit biased but it's my favorite.

WoundedDuck - 1890 huh?! Those are awesome! Where did you get them?

I posted on the main baseball forum but I figured I would ask here...

What are some good non-ebay websites to purchase prewar vintage and vintage autographs from? I know of a couple but I want to look at some others I don't know of (or forgot about, lol). I am mainly interested in prewar Red Sox and vintage autos of Red Sox and HOFers, so if anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated (no auction houses, either).

I got them from net54baseball forums in an auction. I've been able to pick up some nice things there for reasonable prices. There's also a link at the top there that says "vintage links" . It has a section of private sellers that have some reasonable deals on cards as well. Also, there is grandslambids.com. There's a link from net54 to get there also.

If you want to know more about the Harper's Woodcuts, I've tried to scan and paste most of an old article from VCBC. Hopefully it's readable. Mine were cut from the sheets in the last scan. I'm hoping SGC will grade them as 1890 Harper's Woodcuts - authentic.

Very interesting read, Eric....thanks for sharing.

I don't think I have seen that set until now...pretty cool. They look affordable too, correct? (though it might be expensive to get them slabbed...)
