hey fellas
i did a trade with a person in New York City/bronx. I sent my end and he sent me a phony tracking number. I have his phone number but now its "not working". He stopped responding to emails and im out a $100 card/BV$250. What can I do?

it took place out of this club just wanted to say that.

yes i now its my fault for doing business with an unknown person but i have had 100% luck with trading online since May of 2007. Total shame that he has left a bitter taste in my mouth.

what i do have is every email we have exchanged
every text message
and tracking info

everything shows we made an agreement and sent packages.

we live in the same state, could i do small claims? Post master general? could they do something?

thanks for any help, right now im just writing the card off as stolen

Since you've got his address and a phone number tat worked at one time, you'll lose nothing by contacting the police or sheriff in the dude's town. It's a legitimate mail fraud or stolen property complaint. Do you have tracking thru the PO

Maybe I don't see it, but where does it show that he picked it up from his PO? If it's not too late, maybe you should contct that PO in that town and see if it's still there and then inform the Post Master there of the probable fraud. You'd get the card back at least. Like I said, you'll lose nothing but time by contacting the authorities in his town.

I think you are jumping the gun....it seems a little early to cry foul if you mailed out the card 4 days ago and he still has not picked up your card from the PO.

Give it some time to at least play out....4 days is quick there shooter.

but at the same time it is a good idea to contact the post office where he would be picking it up from an explain the situation. They might be able to hold the package till you confirm you received yours.

lmao, not a prayer of that happening. The PO gets paid to do a job, and they do it very efficiently. They could care less about your trade.

sorry, but true.

Well let's hear your PO sob stories? None here. I've shipped 7562 packages through them. Made 1 claim.

If you ship things unprotected & let the other party tell you they never saw the goods, well...shame on you.
