Whats the best way to ship a baseball?

I sold a ball on eBay tonight and was wondering whats the safest and most cost effective way to ship a baseball? Thanks for any input!

I put mine in a 200 count box and ship first class. Costs about $4ish

the best way? Based on my recent experience, charge $16 to ship it, pack it in an appropriate sized box, pad it appropriately, and sent either priority mail or first class parcel for about $6. You might even be able to use a flat rate bubble envelope since the ball is hard enough to survive shipping shocks but I don't know how routine ball collectors would feel about that kind of handling exposure to the ball.
