2011 Contenders Discussion and Speculation

I got a chance to see these cards first hand today and I'm kinda impressed! In talking to the couple of guys I saw bust this stuff, I figured I would open up a channel on here. What are your thoughts on it and what are you hearing so far? Any SP conspiracies out there so far? Lets discuss!

Bundy could be a SP, only one so far on ebay. The conditions of these cards is much better than 2008.

I agree. I really like the stock. Reminds me a bit of a stadium club(ish) kinda full bleed photo on the draft ticket cards. The holofoil fx finish on the base cards is very nice as well! I'm glad they decided to go away from the foil board design like they did in football over the last couple of years.

no, that is the scanner light bending around the penny sleeve

My thoughts on the product, i think that some cards work, some cards don't.

I give them an A for effort and a B- for execution.

I will know more monday after I see more than one box.

It's a nice break from Elite's ugly look and just Chrome in general. Prices are a little too pricey as for a box. However, I bought a few loose packs with a friend. We hit every auto in the box (which was a hot box) and pulled a Lou Brock auto, which is always cool to see in a prospect box.

I love the look. Just wish they had a licensing agreement.

I'm just pissed that Bichette autos are live in this product yet a two month old product EEE still hasn't fulfilled redemptions for him. How exactly does that work?

Guess is that they had an allocation of autos from him for the Contenders cards and haven't finished producing the EEE cards.
