Made me think of something like spring training wheels...for when you are not quite ready to ride the spring training bike on your own.

Tampa Bay pitchers are shutting down the evil empire thus far today. Only 2 hits given up between Shields, Lueke and Badenhop, with no walks and 4 K's.

Poor showing from Cahill in the 1st- first 3 batters scored on two home runs, but he calmed down a bit after that.

2 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 3 SO, 2 HR

Looking forward to seeing how Skaggs does later on in the game.

Strong inning for Casey Kelly 1IP 0H 2Ks, gameday took the pitches away but pretty sure it was only seven or eight pitches.

Here he comes.

EDIT - not a good start. Walked Choo and Santana on 8 pitches.

EDIT 2 - dude must be nervous. After getting Kotchman on a flyout, he walked the next batter on 4 pitches as well.
